Reading indecision

This past week, I could not make any reading decisions. I started three different things, and I’m still not sure which ones I’m going to stick with.
I met with my writing group again and (again) we did not discuss any of our own writing but we did have a lovely conversation about books and webcomics and how we avoid high school drama now that we’re in college. The relevant thing here is that when webcomics were brought up, I could not contribute because I haven’t actually read any webcomics. But I did get very intrigued by the mention of a comic that, in the viewer’s words, was “gay, hockey, and pies.” Desperate for LGBT representation, probably mildly obsessed with hockey, and juggling a newfound interest in baking, I was like, “excuse me, can you repeat that comic please?” So that night I immediately started reading the webcomic “Check, Please!” It’s a really light, easy read -- super cute and fun. Would recommend for anyone on their computer without anything to do.
I also started Little Women as I was planning to. I read the first chapter and was not immediately impressed so I kind of put it down for a bit. It seems like a pretty low reading level, which is not necessarily bad, but the first chapter was just seemingly pointless dialogue between the sisters with simple statements about their life. Maybe I’m too judgmental. I will probably keep reading. Eventually.
The third thing I started this week (or I suppose restarted) was An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green. I have an unabashed love for John Green and his writing, so I’ve been meaning to read his brother’s debut novel for a while, but for some reason when I started a while ago, I ended up setting it aside. I had only read a few chapters and I’ve already pretty much forgotten them, so I started from the beginning. I think I’m a little more interested in it this time, so we’ll see how it goes. Maybe I needed to be a bit older since the characters are just out of college or maybe there were just other things I wanted to read.

(Definitely eye-catching, people in the background mildly unsettling. Name is big because he already has a platform/fame. 7.5/10)

An aside on book covers:
The webcomic doesn’t really have a book cover, though I think the creator did start publishing the comics in books, so maybe now they have a cover. The comic has a logo, which is cute (features a hockey stick).
The thing about reading on the kindle is that you don’t really see the book covers very much. I have the kindle paperwhite which is the one with the screen that looks more like real book pages, so the covers are just seen super small and in black and white. The last time I bought a book based on its cover was Genuine Fraud by E. Lockhart. I was planning on reading it anyway because I’ve liked some of her other books, but I probably wouldn’t have bought the physical book if not for the cover. (The book, by the way, is very confusing from what I remember, but the cover is fantastic).

(Excellent, I mean truly impeccable color choice. Screams intrigue and mystery. No distracting words. Cool title. 9.5/10).

Update: I read Mariana's post and now I want to read Haunting of Hill House. Someone help me make choices.
