moving out... what next and reading!

As all of you are aware, we are forced to move out which has been quite stressful and depressing. I had a small stack of books I checked out from the library and had to go return them today. There were multiple piles of returned books and it was a sad sight to see. Being an English and philosophy major, I happen to own a lot of books. But what to do with all of them? So far, I tried to keep all the books I've read for class, and given the fact that I had to read 8 books for the Modern Bestseller last semester, my stash has accumulated. With such short notice, I don't have enough boxes or room to store all my books. I am trying to bring some home and store some others, but I just can't seem to find enough room. I definitely do not want to throw the away, so I might leave them in my apartment for the nexts tenants to read. Or maybe I'll drop by snell. ALSO if anyone does happen to know what to do with the books we rented for class from the bookstore, let me know as well. I can't return them yet because I still need them for class.

Since I will be bored all day at home, I am going to definitely have more time to read. My roommate and I are trying to start a video book club with some people (lmk if interested!!) because we will have almost nothing to do. I also still have my Tinhouse magazine from the first week of class and the literary magazine from last class, so I will be reading a lot of poetry and short stories. Maybe I'll get into writing short stories but I'm not too good at that so it might be challenging.

This is obviously a lot for all of us to process and figure out. I am quite sad this class will be moving online because part of the reason I liked it so much was the in class discussions and being able to look at all the books or magazines that were being passed around.

I do not want to go home, but I guess this will be time for more self reflection/ self care, time to write a ton of op-eds for the Huntington News, read a lot of books, and actually do all the required reading for all of my classes.
