The first thing I noticed was the label of middle grade fiction, which I had never actually heard of before. Like, yeah it makes sense that it would exist, it just never occurred to me. The other reason it caught my eye was one of the author's previous books, the watermelon one. Also a bit silly, but the title is part of the lyrics to this one children's song, Down By the Bay. My mom was a nursery school teacher for quite a few years, and that was a song she had her kids learn, so it's just ingrained in my soul at this point.
I just thought this description was funny.
This is another case where it makes sense that this exists and I just never thought about it really, but the audio rights for books also need to be sold for audio books to be made. Like, oh huh, of course.
